Barb for Model Number LFC28768ST/00 Probably a stupid question for most of you, but is the arm necessary for the ice maker to function properly? Mine is hanging down. I'm not concerned about the ice getting too high in the ice bin as I turn the ice maker off every few days as I don't use much ice. Trying to save some money, if possible, by not having to replace the entire ice maker assembly. Recently had to disassembly everything as the drainage tube was blocked and ice build up in freezer was awful. 72 year old Grandma learning a lot about fridge/freezer with the help of my 17 and 18 year old grandsons to do the bending down and crawling around. LOL
