Alex for Model Number Lmx25988ST I have 11 VDC at the Evap motor. I disconnect the motor and i have 15.8VDC at the Control board. I am getting 2.4VDC from the fan speed sensor. My fresh food section is not getting cold even though the fan is spinning. Would this be indicative of a bad fan (Not spinning fast enough due to low voltage) or a control board that when load is applied, drops voltage? What should the resistance of this motor be? I am getting 594K ohms.
Answer Hello Alex, The test used by most technicians is to stop the fan with your finger and see if it starts back up to full speed on its' own. If it has to be bumped to start again or it starts running more slowly that normal, the fan motor is bad and in need of replacement. The control is normally not the issue unless there is no power and/or neutral to the motor. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, July 16, 2015
