Ben H for Model Number WM2487HWM My washing machine wasn't draining 'cause the drain pump wasn't coming on so I replaced the drain pump. The old one looked fried on the outside and I thought this was for sure the problem. Now when the washing machine is started the drain pump comes on immediately when the start button is pushed. It just stays on while the washer load senses and then tries to fill. It just keeps draining as it tries to fill. I am wondering if there is a test with a volt meter that can be done on the main control board to determine if it is really the problem before buying another washing machine or is there a simple fix? Thank you, Ben
Answer Ben, With the unit drain pump coming on when the unit is filling then this would most likely be a stuck relay on the control board for the drain. This would be a control board issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 5, 2016
