Joan for Model Number LG he washer

Hi, have an error code e6, machine won’t run. The drum slowly agitates for a few times then shuts down and code pops up. Checked per instructions for coins or anything stuck between washer pulsator plate and drum, found nothing. Pulsator will spin by hand also. Tried spin only and after the regular agitation the machine does to evaluate the load the error appeared again. Repair guy came over and touched something underneath and the washer worked without an error on spin only I think. Then he tried a regular wash cycle the error came up again. He told me the problem was the pump even though LG instructions for error code e6 is for the clutch. So who is right?

Answer

Hello Joan, according to LG the code refers to the control board not being able to get a correct signal from the motor/clutch, the most common cause being something caught between the tub and pulsator, however, if nothing is there and the pulsator spins freely it maybe there is a problem in the motor /clutch then. If you would repost your question with the washer's model number then we can check on the parts involved.
