John May 03, 2024 for Model Number WT1501CW Need a new pulsator/agitator. Ordered part listed on AppliancePartsPros website for this model. Hole in center of part is too small to fit over motor spindle. Any suggestions?
1 Answer John, a new pulsator AGZ72909711 can require some pressure when fitting it onto the agitator drive shaft. Thoroughly cleaning the drive shaft and ensuring there are no burs can help to get it on a little easier. Read More...
Nancy February 02, 2024 for Model Number 79629272000 When the washer spins in full speed, only the middle round agitator piece spins full speed the rest of the tub does not spin causing clothes to come out wet. What would cause this issue?
1 Answer Nancy, this can be caused by a damaged shifter coupling MCJ61861201, coupling assembly ACP72929002, inner basket AJQ72911908 hub (part has been discontinued), or even a failed shifter 4681EA1009C. The coupling, coupling assembly, and inner basket would need to be inspected for any indications of damaged splines to identify if this is a mechanical failure or a possible electronic failure. Sarah October 19, 2023 for Model Number WT7800CV Our pulsator came off so we ordered the new part but when we go to install it, it will not fit all the way down in the drum like it should. Do you need to force it down?
1 Answer Sarah, if the pulsator AGZ72909713 of the model provided is hitting residue or debris when being installed, it can cause this issue. Thoroughly cleaning the drive shaft can reduce the chance of the pulsator not seating properly. Read More...
Gail October 11, 2023 for Model Number LG top load washer model # WT7300CW I had scrud from my LG top load washing machine coming out on my clothes. After watching videos online we took the washing machine apart and cleaned every bit of scrud that we could but it’s build up inside the pulsator. I worked for days trying to flush it out with hot water and bar keepers friend then hot water and oxi clean. I kept it soaking in hot water and tried forcing the scrud out by pushing the pulsator down into the water forcefully. I got a lot out but eventually put it back in the washing machine hoping to get the rest out with the clean cycle and affresh. I’ve put it through two clean cycles and a lot of scrud keeps coming out. My question is will I be able to get all the scrud out this way. Is there a better washer cleaner to use. I don’t want to have to buy a new pulsator and I’ve put so much work into it so far I’m determined to clean it. Do you think a few more clean cycles will do it or is it a lost cause. Thank you.
1 Answer Gail, The build-up will cause the issue and will come clean over time and cleaning. Try using vinegar to clean this as the acidity of it may work. Read More...
Rachel August 12, 2023 for Model Number WT7300CW I have taken the cap, Washplate Pulsator , and the drum out and scrubbed everything but after using the tub clean cycle there is still sludge that comes out. Where is it coming from and how do I get rid of it?!
1 Answer Rachel, Check to make sure that the dispenser is not gummed up causing this sludge as this would be the only other thing that could possibly cause the issue. Read More...
Lynda April 11, 2023 for Model Number WT1201CW The new pulsator fits in, however the screw does not tighten completely and has no resistance. It does not untighten, either.
1 Answer Lynda, the pulsator would need to be checked to ensure it is seating down fully. The pulsator bolt FAB31741301 will also need to be inspected for any damaged or broken threads that may be causing this issue. If the bolt broke into the drive shaft and can not be extracted, the clutch assembly AEN73131403 would need to be replaced. Read More...
Attila January 15, 2023 for Model Number 79629272000 Hi I have this washer and it fills up goes thru the cycles but it seems it’s not agitating . Gene January 06, 2023 for Model Number WT5001CW Thank you for the video. We ordered a replacement and installed it but when I turn the new plate, about 1/2 a turn it makes this hum/moan vibration sound. I put the old one back on and get the same result. This make me think that I'm not installing it correctly or it's not seated correctly or something. I tightened the bolt all the way down...still getting the noise. What can I try?
1 Answer Gene, it would be recommended that the driveshaft splines of the clutch assembly AEN73131403 are inspected to ensure that they have not corroded. Read More...
Tim September 21, 2022 for Model Number LG WT1101cw How do you remove the center spine from the agitators/wash plate?
1 Answer Tim, To remove the pulsator you lift up on it and may need to use a rope to wedge it out. If the piece that would be inside the pulsator is stuck then you would need to use a cold chisel and bust it off if it is stuck. Read More...
Trish September 08, 2022 for Model Number WT7300CV My washer smells, no matter how much I do tub cleans. And there is dark brown sludge pieces remaining in the tub after a tub clean. I removed the pulsator cap and it is filled with the same sludge along with the inside of the pulsator. I was wondering if there are drains in there? Could they be clogged? I've taken the cap off to clean this at least 3 times but it just builds back up.
1 Answer Trish, oftentimes, this is caused by too much residue left over from softeners and detergents, or from too much of either being used. This can be corrected by running several washes of vinegar through without any clothes in the washer. The pulsator AGZ72909701 does have 3 weep holes under the pulsator cap that should allow water to drain out. Read More...
