Chris for Model Number LG LFX25980ST The flapper valve that keeps cold air in the ice maker will not fully close and makes a vibrating noise as the cold air rushes out of the ice maker. I can push it closer with my finger but it will not stay sealed against the opening. I used a mirror and could see the spring was still in place but can't tell if it is broken or not. How do I access this area to inspect the spring? Is the spring what keeps the flapper valve closed after the ice is dispensed?
Answer Chris, To remove the dispenser assembly to get to the door spring you will need to take out the drip tray and pushing down on the area below the drip tray pull forward. This should release the bottom of the dispenser and then you will need to work your way around the dispenser and release it and pull it off. Read More...
