Pat for Model Number LFX25960TT What is the function of the solenoid reversing valve? Does it affect the ice maker in a way that would make it overflow, spilling water and then freezing on the icemaker doors. We checked the water inlet solenoid valve and it does not appear to leak.
Answer Hello Pat, The reversing solenoid will have no effect on the production of the ice in the icemaker. The solenoid is used to open and close the ice dispenser door.
