Robert for Model Number LFC21770ST/01 Hello, my LG refrigerator, Model LFC21770ST/01 repeatedly clicks. It does maintain both fridge unit and freezer unit temps. The unit clicks intermittently, "resting" about 3-5 minutes before attempting to start the compressor. Once running, it runs fine. I have isolated the clicking noise to the Thermistor Assembly, Part Number: AP5953061 (303B on your schematic). Your site states this part has "been discontinued by manufacturer". Can you offer alternative parts, and any other advice? Thank You!
Answer Robert, if you haven't yet checked for proper voltage to the start device from the main control board, you need to. Check for 110 VAC across pins 5 and 6 (blue and black wires on the start device)and/or at the outlet, when the compressor tries to start and clicks. If the voltage is within range, then the CLS30820101/CLS30820101 Thermistor Assembly, otherwise you'll need to check the wiring and replace the main control board. The manufacturer no longer sells the part. We can no longer get it from any of our suppliers. There is no substitute for the part available to us and we don't know of any other source for the part. You may want to contact local parts dealers, one of them might still have it in stock. Enter your part number in a search engine, a smaller company might have it. Try eBay, Amazon, or similar sites. Search by using the manufacturer's part number. Try a used appliance store, sometimes they have the same model or usable part for your machine. Thanks, Read More...
