Matt F. for Model Number DLE5977W My LG dryer's cooling light stays on no matter what cycle I run it on. I just replaced the main control panel and ran it with the vent tube disconnected and the same thing is happening. It is getting warm but it take two cycles to dry clothes. Any ideas? Answer Hi Matt. You may have a shorted heating element that is only partially heating. The element part # is 5301EL1001J. Check the thermistor that is by the back of the blower hsg.
