Dan for Model Number MCBR 170B Mini refrigerator. It freezes everything. I'm thinking its the thermostat. Can I use a multi-meter to test the thermostat? It has three leads on it: green, black, and yellow. I know how to check for continuity, AC, DC. Can you walk me through a simple test for the thermostat?
Answer Hello Dan, You simply disconnect the wires from the component and turn the control to off. It should read as no connection. When it is turned to the on position it should read no resistance. This is a basic test and will not actually show if the temperature control is opening and closing at the proper temperatures.
