Answer

Hello Marilyn, This is an indication of either a low water fill, a water heating issue with the dishwasher, or an incorrectly installed drain hose. Look under the sink and make sure the drain line is elevated to counter-top level before entering the sink drain. This is necessary to prevent sink drain water from back-filling into the dishwasher. You should also verify water of about 120°F to 125°F enters the unit at the beginning of the cycle and the dishwasher is able to heat the water to about 140°F. If not, troubleshoot the heating circuit in the dishwasher to correct the issue.
