Chris for Model Number RSG257AARS/XAA-0000 connecting to 1/4 copper tubing, what size compression fitting should I get for the installation? can i just order the part that slips into the white tube and the ring that goes over and re-use existing fitting? i understand you don't sell this but appreciate guidance on what part to get so i can install this when it i arrives.
Answer Chris, There are copper 1/4 in compression fitting that you would need to use for the copper. You can try reusing existing fittings just apply water and check for leaks. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, April 12, 2019
Answer Chris, Apparently this is the copper water supply tube from the water supply pipe to the refrigerator filter inlet tube. The "john guess" compression fittings wont work well with copper tubing. You'll need a 1/4" OD tube to tube union (it should have the compression ferrules) and a 1/4" sleeve insert for the "pex" tube to the filter housing(so the tube doesn't collapse when the compression nut is tightened. You can also review the video attached to the DA97-06317A filter housing, it has the how to info. The fittings you need are available at the local hardware store or home improvement center.
