Jack for Model Number 40185042010 Microwave heats, clock counts down correctly and unit runs for the correct amount of time. When not in use, the display will show random messages and beep periodically. The stop button can be pressed to allow a new cook time to be entered and the unit will cook normally. Every so often the key pad will stop working all together. Un plugging and plugging the machine back in will allow the key pad to work again. Perhaps a power surge has damaged an electrical part? Any ideas on which part? Thanks
Answer Hello Jack, This sounds like either a bad connection between the control and the touchpad or the programming in the EEPROM on the control board DE94-02302B is corrupted. I'm sorry but this part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. You can contact www.corecentricsolutions.com to see if they support the control board for repair. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 22, 2014
