Kevin for Model Number NE58F9710WS I replaced my display board due to several of the lights not working. The previous board's touchscreen worked, just couldn't see all the functions. After replacing the board, the lights now work, but the touchscreen does not respond. (unfortunately, I broke the old board taking it out). Any thoughts? I tried turning it off and on without success. (display board DE96 01027A)
Answer Kevin, it would be recommended that the display control and touchpad are double-checked to ensure they are properly seated. The REV number of your appliance and the part number on the original control may need to be checked as well to ensure proper compatibility as there are two displays used depending on the REV number. It may also be possible the display control may be faulty. Unfortunately, it appears both display boards, DE96-01027A and DE96-01027D, have been discontinued by the manufacturer and are no longer available. Read More...
