Tim for Model Number DV52J8700EP/A2 Replaced heating unit, the old unit burnt into and welded to the housing. Replaced with new unit and fuse and thermostat. The dryer quit heating and now the new thermal fuse is bad again. The dryer was kicking the breaker before changing the unit. I will try another fuse and see what happens, vent is clean and clear to outside hood. Could the unit grounding itself to the housing be causing a problem?
Answer The grounded unit has been removed and replaced. Typically additional damage would be the relay on the control board. This would not cause the fuse to fail.
