Tim September 13, 2022 for Model Number DV52J8700EP/A2 Replaced heating unit, the old unit burnt into and welded to the housing. Replaced with new unit and fuse and thermostat. The dryer quit heating and now the new thermal fuse is bad again. The dryer was kicking the breaker before changing the unit. I will try another fuse and see what happens, vent is clean and clear to outside hood. Could the unit grounding itself to the housing be causing a problem?
1 Answer The grounded unit has been removed and replaced. Typically additional damage would be the relay on the control board. This would not cause the fuse to fail. The vent or a failed thermostat typically causes the fuse to fail. Read More...

Brian December 03, 2020 for Model Number DV48J7700EW/A2 Hello. The heating element went out on my dryer. I replaced it and everything was fine until the thermal fuse blew on the new element. Now I have no heat again. The vent appears to be blowing plenty of air through it. Any ideas? Thanks.
1 Answer Brian, Even though the vent seems to blow good, check to make sure that it is clean from the blower wheel to the outside of the home. This issue sounds like it could be caused by a stuck relay on the control board not allowing the heater to shut off and causing the thermal to fail. Read More...
