R Parker for Model Number NX58H9500WS/AA My oven works fine but my broiler element doesn't. It will not ignite or work at all. why?
Answer R Parker, when you turn the broil igniter on, does the igniter glow? If it doesn't, check for 120 volts going to the igniter. If you have voltage, replace the igniter, if no voltage, replace the main control board. If it glows but does not open the gas valve, check the safety valve. Turn on the broil circuit, check for 3.2-3.6 volts ac at the safety valve, you will be checking the red wire, and the white neutral wire.
