John for Model Number NX58H5650WS/AC (Samsung) Samsung gas oven lights normally some of the time, but more often when I turn it on there's an orange glow but no heat. At those times I can solve the problem by turning on a surface burner for 4-5 seconds - that causes the oven to start heating normally again. Does that sound like a bad ignitor, or bad safety valve?
Answer John, Thanks for the question. You will need to check this with a multimeter at the safety valve. With the ignitor glowing you should have 3.2 to 3.6vac to the valve. If you have a voltage range within the 3.2 to 3.6vac and it doesn't light the issue would be the safety valve. If the ignitor is glowing and the voltage to the valve is not in range then the issue would be your ignitor. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, January 20, 2022
