Oscar for Model Number rb215lash There is no ice being made already. I replaced the ice maker and water valve and pushed the reset button. The water flows good. The temperature is at 0 degrees. Someone spoke of a module. There was a piece of ice that I took out of the refill tube over the ice tray. I would appreciate any help!
Answer Hello Oscar, If there is ice in the fill tube, this is an indication of either low water pressure or a bad water inlet valve. I know you said you just replaced the water inlet valve, but there is always the possibility of a bad new part. I would first thaw out all of the ice in the fill tube and the fill cup with a hair dryer. Next, turn the water off to the unit and remove the water line from the wall to the water inlet valve and place it in a bucket or plastic trashcan. Turn the water on and insure there is sufficient water pressure. If there is, I would call in for an exchange on the new part for a factory defective part. If there isn't, look for a crimp in the water supply line or check to see if the water supply line originates at a self-tapping saddle valve. If it does, the manufacturer recommends to drill the pierced hole out to a full 1/4 inch hole. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 16, 2012
