Bob for Model Number DV328AEW/XAA Hello, My dryer stopped spinning - everything else lights up. It was heating correctly, the clothes were very hot the last time we used it. I have checked my belt and the black spinning wheel, they look fine. So I'm assuming now it's my motor. I wanted to make sure this part is correct for it: The Assy Motor; 27-Dryer. I've recently replaced the thermostats and heating element - so I am taking it that the motor is next to go. Thanks, Bob
Answer Bob, With the unit not turning on you will want to check the thermal fuse on the blower housing to make sure that it is good. If this thermal fuse fails it will keep the unit from running. Test for continuity and if the part does not have continuity it is bad and will need to be replaced. If it is bad then you will want to make sure that the venting is not clogged up from the blower wheel to the outside of the home. Read More...
