Steven for Model Number DV338AGW/XAA-0000 Hello. The dryer started to act up yesterday. The drum is turning and the gas burner is coming on, but the clothes are not drying and you can see water on the front lower window. A couple loads the minutes counted down and then went back up again. It looks like the blower may not be working? Is there any way to confirm this before I spend $150 plus shipping on the new blower assembly?
Answer Hello Steven. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly.
