Junior for Model Number DV42H5000EW/A3-0000 Hi Machine would not heat, replaced burnt heat element, along with High Limit thermostat DC47-00018A & Dryer thermostat DC47-00016A . Dryer ran for about 10 mins each time and stopped with HE error. No short to ground on new element. What could be the cause? Thanks
Answer Junior, The "HE" error code indicates an " Invalid heating Temp in running the dryer" you may want to start by checking the exhaust vent and vent hood for clogs, kinks, etc., and make sure the vent hood isn't damaged or collapsed. Then check and clean/clear any debris or lint from the lint filter duct and blower wheel and housing. then check the resistance of the DC32-00007A Dryer Thermistor, Approx 250KO at 77 °F(room temp.) if all checks OK, suspect a "sticky" heater relay on the main control board.
