Tim for Model Number WA400PJHDWR/AA The water pump comes on without pressing any buttons. When you start a cycle the pump comes on, water runs out as fast as it comes in. The washer starts a cycle without pushing the start button. When you press power the display lights up, the water pump runs without pressing the start button. This machine has the new pump kit installed because the other pump broke off, this problem began after new pump was installed. Is the control board bad, or is their something else I need to look at?
Answer Tim, based on the information provided, there could be either a water level sensor DC96-01703C issue or a main control DC92-01021B issue. The sensor can be tested for frequency with the tub empty and from the blue wire (with red probe of meter) to the orange wire (with the black probe) the frequency should read 26.4 KHz. If the frequency checks good, then the main control has failed. If the frequency does not check good, then the pressure sensor may be causing the main control to activate the drain pump. Read More...
