Fred for Model Number WA50F9A8DSP/A2 This top load washer will not lock. I unplugged it and plugged it back on and got the same scenario. I replaced the latch(lock) unit, then the main board and got the same response. After another day, I tried starting it and it worked for 3 cycles to completion. I waited the next day and the unit will not work. In all these processes, the displays all came on. It is when I tried starting it that nothing happens even though the sound pings when you press the start button but does not latch. Any ideas? thanks
Answer Fred, you may want to inspect the magnet DC61-03184A located in the door assembly for any visible signs of a break or misalignment. If this magnet is not seated properly or is broken, then it can prevent the washer from sensing that the door is closed. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 5, 2019
