Mike June 17, 2023 for Model Number WA50R5200AW/US Washing Machine works functions with the exception of the chime sounding off throughout the was cycle. There are times when it can go for longer with no pattern or error code (soak, rinse, wash, spin) once in a while the selector knob indicator light is lit but you can not change selection. After a few minutes, that will begin to work.
1 Answer Mike, Start with the tech sheet packaged with the machine and place the unit into diagnostics mode. Repair or replace based on the fault code found. Read More...
Chris Marriner April 30, 2023 for Model Number WA50R5400AV I have a Samsung washer, WA50R5400AV, it will not start and shows a DC1 error and a secondary Ub error. When you hit run, it clicks, and the lid locks, and you can hear some internal sounds like it’s thinking about running, but it doesn’t rotate to check balance. Drum will spin freely by hand. I replaced the suspension rods a year to 18 months ago, confirmed main drum nut is tight, checked voltage. Before I start throwing parts at it, thoughts?? I’m thinking Control Board…
1 Answer Chris, Even though the door is locked, there is a switch inside the lock that may not be activating which will tell the unit that the door is not locked and it will cause this issue to occur. Check the door lock switch terminal to make sure that it is connected properly. Make sure that there are no broken or damaged wires or terminal connection. If this checks ok then replace the main control board. Read More...
John April 26, 2023 for Model Number WA50F9A6DSW/A2-0001 Machine will not power on. I have power at the cord coming into the machine. I push the power button and i get nothing. i have power in and out of the noise filter. and power going to the control board.
Phil April 02, 2023 for Model Number WA50R5200AW/US We have had this machine for a little over two years. From day one there were problems with loads being unbalanced that got worse and worse. fina lly, I did research and discovered the dampeners are under-designed. I replaced them and the balance issue is much better. A couple of loads before I changed them out, when I opened the lid and turned on the power the DC (open lid) fault would show. Once I close the lid I can start any cycle but I cannot pause to add or rebalance and I cannot use the Waterjet because it is in fault mode with the lid open. My suspicion is that the banging and vibration for being out of balance so much has damaged the control panel. Before I order this expensive part I am looking for reassurance that this is the problem and not something else or that there is a repair I can make to the panel.
1 Answer Phil, Based on the information provided I would recommend checking the lid switch with a meter for proper operation and then checking the wiring from the lid switch to the control before replacing the parts. Read More...
Gene August 30, 2021 for Model Number WA50F9A6DSW/A2-0001 Washer will not let me perform a dianostic test but every thing works as far as mechanically, it just will not finish the final rinse cycle. It says to put the number to 17 to look for a code, but when I try to do that it comes up to 1700.. Would this be a board?
1 Answer Gene, Typically when the unit will not go into the service diagnostic mode it will be an issue within the main control board that would need to be replaced. Read More...
Bryan May 10, 2021 for Model Number Samsung WA50F9A6DSW/a2 01 Hi, My 5 year old Samsung Washer no longer responds when I press a button on the control panel. It will also act like buttons are being pressed when they aren't, for example the pre-rinse button will go on and off several times in the course of 20 seconds. Would this be a control panel issue? How challenging is it to replace the control panel?
1 Answer Bryan, This issue will most likely be caused by a faulty display board which will be part number DC92-01311B. Read More...
Fred August 04, 2019 for Model Number WA50F9A8DSP/A2 This top load washer will not lock. I unplugged it and plugged it back on and got the same scenario. I replaced the latch(lock) unit, then the main board and got the same response. After another day, I tried starting it and it worked for 3 cycles to completion. I waited the next day and the unit will not work. In all these processes, the displays all came on. It is when I tried starting it that nothing happens even though the sound pings when you press the start button but does not latch. Any ideas? thanks
1 Answer Fred, you may want to inspect the magnet DC61-03184A located in the door assembly for any visible signs of a break or misalignment. If this magnet is not seated properly or is broken, then it can prevent the washer from sensing that the door is closed. Read More...
Shawn June 25, 2019 for Model Number WA50F9A7DSW/A2 Washer powers as normal. When pushing start button nothing happens. We've been able to power off and power back on and push the button multiple times and some times it will lock the top and run through wash cycle. I ordered and replaced display screen control board...same thing, will not come on when pushing start button even though all of parts of the board come on? Possible PCB issue?
1 Answer Shawn, Based on this information, the main control board does sound like it would be the cause for the unit to not start and operate. Read More...
Joe Williams March 13, 2019 for Model Number WA50F9A7DSP/A2-0000 Start/pause button will not work. Finally after trying over and over again it will sometimes work. Do I need the whole control panel?
1 Answer Joe, With the start button not working this would most likely be caused by a display board that is faulty which is part number DC92-01311C. Read More...
Tony January 28, 2019 for Model Number WA50F9A6DSW/A2-0001 Samsung washer gets to spin cycle at 6 minutes and reverts back to 18 minutes. Starts to put water back in after wash is done. It gets stuck in cycle and will continue to repeat the pattern.
1 Answer Tony, you will want to check the hall sensor by going to cn1 on the control and reading from pin 2 to 4 and then pin 3 to 4. It should read 2-4M ohms. If not, then you have a bad hall sensor. If they do read within that ohm, then you have a bad control board. Read More...
