Robert for Model Number RFG238AARS/XAA The bottom ice maker (DA97-07603A) for my Samsung refrigerator inside the freezer won’t fill with water. When I push the reset button on the bottom of the unit, it goes through the entire cycle just fine, but the water never fills the ice tray. I’m thinking the water valve may be defective or there might be a little heater somewhere in there to keep the water from freezing in the water line. Where is the water valve located and where is the little heater? Thanks in advance for your answer. Robert
Answer Robert, you may want to check the fill tube DA97-00209T that sits above the icemaker for signs of ice blockage. If there is an ice blockage, then you will want to test it for resistance. The fill tube heater should read around 72 ohms. If there is not an ice blockage, then the water valve DA97-07695A located in the compressor compartment most likely has failed. Read More...
