Paul, Thank you for your question. For this issue, the icemaker will most likely not be the issue and will be a problem within the main control board DA92-00384D.

Hello Stephen, thank you for contacting AppliancePartsPros.com This may be an issue with the thermistor DA32-00029U in the freezer. If that thermistor is reading the freezer as too warm it will over cool that section, if the freezer is too cold the ice maker will not attempt to make ice. You can test that thermistor by removing it, placing it in a glass of ice water, allowing it to sit for 5 minutes, and then check the resistance value, it should be around 13.29k ohms at 32F and about 5.62k ohms at 70F. If the thermistor seems to be reading in range then you might have an issue with the main control board DA92-00384E.

Hello Kevin, thank you for contacting AppliancePartsPros.com This model uses ice maker [DA97-07603B] which the unit should have come with along with all the other required parts from the factory. If it did not come with an ice maker from the factory you may need to check if there is a valve at the rear of the unit and I would recommend contacting the manufacturer to determine what all would be needed to install the ice maker.

Hello Luke, thank you for contacting Appliance Parts Pros. If the ice maker will harvest and fill when manually tested and the temperatures in the freezer are around 0 I would recommend replacing the ice maker as there is a sensor built into it that is likely bad.

Fernando for Model Number RF260BEAESR/AA-05

At what point in this video does he disconnect the water source to the ice maker ???? He never does, or at least, he never shows it. My ice maker lever (the plastic lever that shuts off the supply and therefore stops making ice) broke, and now I have mountains of ice that impede from opening the freezer in the mornings. Ridiculous to have to change the entire ice maker due to a cheap plastic lever. Please review the video or address this question, or better yet, do both. Thank you.

Hello Fernando, thank you for contacting APP, The water source to the unit is disconnected/turned off between 25 and 30 seconds into the video on this Icemaker, this effectively disconnects water to the Icemaker as there is no other water disconnect for the icemaker other than to unplug the Icemaker's valve from the wiring harness to it. The Icemaker can be turned off at your unit's user interface/control panel by pressing the Ice Off button as described in the unit's User Manual. The manufacturer does not appear to offer the lever as an individually serviceable part.

Jack, the freezer would need to be double checked for temperature with a thermometer to ensure it is reaching proper temp. If it is, the next step would be verifying the fill tube is not frozen up. If it is, it would need to be cleared and the valve would need to be replaced (the REV number of the appliance would be needed for part accuracy).

Jack, the tilting pocket and tilting supports would need to be removed from the freezer door first. From there, the bottom freezer bin can be removed to access the door mounting bracket screws to remove them from where they connect the bracket to the sliding rails. The bottom of the door will rotate forward and the door can then lift up and be set aside. The top freezer bin will then slide fully forward and a flat screwdriver will insert into the bin gap at the back on each side to lift up and then the bin can be removed. This will give access to the ice maker.
