Ed for Model Number RF18HFENBSR My Samsung french door bottom freezer makes ice, but the ice is dumped as a solid block. The individual ice molds/grooves/cubes are present, but it is held together by a 1/8" thick layer across the top. I did recently replace the water inlet valve (which was faulty), but I am wondering what is causing a potential overfill. I reset the ice maker and then watched the water fill the tray. It filled it to the top of the tray, but did not overflow. Any thoughts on what could be causing this issue? Is it best to just replace the ice maker assembly?
Answer Ed, It is most likely that the icemaker is ejecting the ice too quickly, before it has time to become solid. This would be an icemaker issue in that case. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, April 14, 2023
