Answer Hello Bob, the auger motor is a one speed, one direction motor with the ice bin auger set for crushed ice in the default position. To dispense cubes, there is a solenoid coil behind the auger motor that when powered moves the arm on the side of the ice bin to open a gate in the front of the ice bin to allow the cubes to miss the crusher.
