Christy for Model Number rf28hfedtsr/aa samsung refrigerator french door

We have a couple problems. The icemaker, when you take the bucket out, has ice on the top and bottom and in the back about everyday. We have defrosted several times. Also, the ice isn't completely going down the dispenser chute, It's slushy, then stays in the chute until it drips out the dispenser and down to the floor. I have to constantly wipe up water from it. We had a repairmen here. He thought it was the mother board, got a new one, still doing the same thing. The temperature in fresh food compartment is kind of inconsistent, have it set at 34°F but it is usually about 38°F inside. Tired of this constant dripping and freezing over problem.

Answer

Hello Christy, The frost and dripping is room humidity getting into the unit. You will need to check the door seals and check for proper door closure. The ice door can sometimes contribute but most of the time when the ice door or a freezer door has an air leak, the moisture will condense where it will freeze and never makes it to the fresh food compartment where it can form water droplets.
