Luna for Model Number WF448AAW/XAA During a normal wash cycle, the washer drained almost completely and partially wrung out the clothes. It pinged an unable to drain error. I removed the clothes and manually drained all of the water using the drain hose by the front filter. I started a spin only cycle, and it ran normally, including spinning the tub. After the cycle finished, I ran a Rinse and Spin cycle. It ran properly until it reached the drain portion of the spin cycle, The washer stopped and would not advance past that point in the cycle and the timer. I manually drained it again, ran the spin cycle successfully again, then ran the Rinse and Spin cycle with the same result as before. Update: I took the washer apart and verified that there are no obstructions. The resistance on the pump motor is 14.7 Ohms. When I hook it back up to the washer wiring harness and start the spin cycle, the pump motor runs and the impeller spins smoothly and without excessive noise. Any suggestions of what else to check? Thanks.
Answer Luna, You will want to test to see if there is 120 vac getting to the drain pump when it is not draining. If there is proper power then the drain pump will be the issue and will need to be replaced. If there is not then it will be the control board that is the issue. Read More...
