Michael for Model Number Samsung WF42H5200AP When washer goes on any cycle option it goes until it gets stuck between rinse and spin cycle. The time remaining also gets stuck. Even for Spin only cycle, it gets stuck at 9 minutes and continuously slow spins. When I do a spin test in diagnostic mode, it is able to reach max RPM (about 1200) no problem. No stored error codes. Technician recommended to replace the drive motor and rotor. Does getting these parts replaced sound right?
Answer I am not one to go against another tech but before I changed out those parts for your issue, I would be sure my machine is getting cold water. I often find when a washer stops between rinse and spin it is due to a cold water valve issue. I would check the flow of cold water into the tub. If it seems slow, remove and clean the screen on the cold water inlet valve. If you find no cold water coming in check for voltage and replace valve if needed. Read More...
