Dennis for Model Number wf42h500aw/a2 My Samsung stopped spinning, it makes a faint clicking noise from the motor and will move 3/4 of an inch randomly. I checked the rotor, it has 12.3 ohms on each winding. I checked the hall sensor, it is getting 5v and puts out about 3.8 when I spin the motor. I did observe a few things, the motor/basket spins much harder when the washer is turned on with or without hitting start I also checked the invertor board for the 5v with the hall sensor unplugged from it (CN2), it had 5v, but it also had 3.8 v from orange to both blue and red spots (again the connector unplugged checking at the board). Is this to be expected? Also the thing that looks like a heat sink has 3.2v ac to ground, I found this out when my wrist brushed it and I was shocked some ???????. Maybe this is normal, but seemed odd. I am leaning towards the invertor being bad because of the voltage readings when the hall is unplugged, but wanted some advice. Thank you for the help.
Answer Hello Dennis, based on your checks it sounds like the motor inverter board is faulty, it is part DC92-01531B. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, April 15, 2022
