Mark for Model Number WA5451ANW/XAA-0002 After washing a large pillow in the washer, I began to get a behavior whereby the washer restarts early in the spin cycle and eventually gives a “dc” (unbalanced load) error. Both the drain and spin operations function normally in Quick Test Mode and Demo Mode. I have leveled the unit, replaced the Washer Damper Assembly DC97-05280S, and replaced the Washer Vibration Sensor Assembly DC93-00278B, but the issue remains. An example is that when running a “Rinse+Spin” cycle, with about 9 minutes left, the spin cycle begins and after 10-30 seconds of slow spinning, the unit changes to 17 minutes left and starts refilling the tub with water. My understanding is that it is doing this in an attempt to balance the load, however this seems unnecessary based on observation of the load. What would be next to try? I’m curious if I should replaced the rotor position sensor, although the RPM readings during the test modes appears accurate.
Answer Mark, Thank you for your question. If the unit is operating properly in the quick cycle and other cycles but doing this only in one cycle then it will most likely be a faulty control board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, June 19, 2025
