Glenn for Model Number RS2530BBP My coils in the freezer froze up. I ordered a new defrost sensor, heater coil, and defrost thermostat sensor and installed them. worked fine for about a month and now the fridge portion won't stay cool. Checked the coils and there was not solid ice like before but flakey ice on the coils. The fan is working fine in the freezer. I have defrosted the coils once again and everything is cooling again. Could it be the main control board is bad and not defrosting the freezer coils? I checked the seal on the doors and they seem to be sealing well. Is there anything else I may be overlooking? I put a thermometer in the fridge and it reads 37 degrees on the coldest setting is that normal? After I defrosted everything and plugged the fridge back in I checked to make sure the damper trap door in the fridge section was operating, I could hear the door close when I opened the fridge door and when I pressed the switch to shut the light off in the fridge I could hear the dampner door open.
Answer Glenn, You will want to double check the previously parts just to ensure that they are not bad but the control board would be the most likely cause of failure with what has already been done. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, February 28, 2013
