Angela My washer is producing gray/brown sludge after each load. After much research, I've discovered that it is coming from underneath the pulsator cap on my Samsung top load washer. My questions are: how can I safely remove the cap? How do I properly clean the crud out? Can I remove the cap and run a hot water cycle to clean underneath without the cap? Thank you
Answer Hello Angela, There should be a plastic cap that can be removed to allow access to the pulsator retaining screw. When removed, the pulsator will lift out, The area and bottom of pulsator should be cleaned with a plastic bristled brush and hot white vinegar. A sanitation cycle should be run after reassembly. For more details, we would need to ask you to please post a new question that includes the model number from the units' I.D. tag. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
