Norcal_Al for Model Number rs2630sh

My Samsung refrigerator is -20 F in the freezer section and 40 F in the fridge. Changing the temperature settings does not help. The coils inside the freezer section are NOT frozen over with ice. I have also replaced the main board. I have also tested all thermistors in the appliance and they read around 5k-6k ohms in ice water and 12k ohms at room temperature. All fans in the unit operate, I dunno what else to try I'm ready to push this refrigerator into the river.

Answer

Norcal, If the resistance of the thermistors in ice water are showing 5 to 6 ohms then the thermistors are faulty. At room temp of 77 degrees the resistance should be 5K and at 32 degrees should be 13.2K. If you are getting 2 to 6 ohms in ice water then you will need to replace the thermistors.
