For Samsung Refrigerator Temperature Control Relay (Part Number: OEM13699173)

Ron for Model Number RS277ACPN

My 10 yr old samusng french door fridge&fridge won't cool. The control panel shows temp 68 on fridger side and 66 on fridge side. The temp doesn't go down at all. Lights are on. I can hear click sound from the back of the fridge. I can hear humming sound on both side. The fan is also working. I touched compressor and it is warm. I took out the relay and no rattling sound when i shake it. Do you still think relay starter is bad? What is the part# for the relay if i want to order? Thanks,

1 Answer

Ron, the relay is going to be part number DA35-00135A and should measure between 8O to 12O of resistance. If the relay tests good, then the compressor would be the failure and would require a technician for repairs.

Mike, the main control can be tested for incoming voltage at the two-wire connector with a black wire and a red wire. This connection should have 120VAC when tested between the two wires. If there is 120VAC, then the main control would be the issue. If there is not 120VAC, then the noise filter would need to be tested for 120VAC incoming and outgoing voltages. If there is 120VAC going in (test between black and white wires from power cord) but not out (test between the black wire and the red wire going to main control), then the noise filter has failed. If there is not 120VAC going to the noise filter, but there is 120VAC at the outlet, then the power cord has failed. For the most accurate part numbers, the REV number will need to be used along with the model number.

Hovik, For this issue, with the start device having been replaced and the symptom still occurring would be a faulty compressor that would need to be replaced.

Eric, This error would be a compressor locking error. Replace the inverter board and if it continues to do the same then the compressor would be the issue.

Hello Keith, You will first need to test for voltage to the overload on the compressor. If there is no voltage present, you will need to replace the control board DA41-00104M. If 120Vac is present, then the start relay DA35-00099G and overload DA34-10003S should be replaced.

Yungr, The relay would be the most likely cause for the compressor not to come on. If you replace the relay and it does not correct the issue thing this will most likely be a faulty compressor.

Rick, It is not likely that the capacitor would be the cause of the unit not cooling. The capacitor is just there for the compressor run to help save a couple cents electricity. You will want to check the sensors on the unit.

Hello Rick. According to the pictures of the start relay, part number DA35-00099G has the matching identification number of "J531Q32E" on it, so it should work. Hope this helps!

Perry Mendivil for Model Number RS2545SH

With the refrigeration plug in, the compressor appears to be working OK, no noises. The freezer and the refrigeration do not cool. I have removed the cover to the freezer evaporator to see if was iced over. The evaporator coils are free of ice and the evaporator fan appeared to be working. However, when I tested the temp sensors they appeared to be open. Can this be why the freezer and refrigerator are not cooling? Please advise. Thank You!

1 Answer

Perry, If the compressor is running but there is no frost pattern at all then the issue will be a sealed system issue.
