Mike for Model Number samsung RS277ACRS Yesterday, my fridge quit completely. No lights inside, no temp display, no noises. I quickly checked the outlet for power and confirmed was on. Tried unplugging for a few hours then reconnecting. Sill nothing. Seems like a fuse or circuit breaker inside the fridge tripped. I'm wondering if it the compressor start relay or is it more simple than that. Or is it just toast? Thanks, Mike
Answer Mike, the main control can be tested for incoming voltage at the two-wire connector with a black wire and a red wire. This connection should have 120VAC when tested between the two wires. If there is 120VAC, then the main control would be the issue. If there is not 120VAC, then the noise filter would need to be tested for 120VAC incoming and outgoing voltages. If there is 120VAC going in (test between black and white wires from power cord) but not out (test between the black wire and the red wire going to main control), then the noise filter has failed. If there is not 120VAC going to the noise filter, but there is 120VAC at the outlet, then the power cord has failed. For the most accurate part numbers, the REV number will need to be used along with the model number. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, November 5, 2019
