Steve Funk for Model Number RFG297ACRS My freezer is not getting cold enough. Freezer is set to -19C, display shows it is -19C, but actual temp is -8C. Is this a sensor issue? Could it be more than one sensor? Thanks!
Answer Steve, It would be recommended to remove the rear wall of the freezer and check the frost pattern on the evaporator coils. If the coils are impacted with ice then this would be a defrost issue in which you will want to test the defrost sensor, defrost bimetal and defrost heater. If there is very little frost on the coils then this would most likely be an issue with the sealed system in which you would need service for this. There should be a even frost pattern from top to bottom. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, October 23, 2018
