Tony for Model Number RS263TDRS/XAA Hello, I just bought this AP5305954 and tried to use the ohm digital multimeter and the number doesnt go up or down. It's at 1 when not touching anything. When I touch the black and red together, the numbers jump so I know the multimeter is working. I touch the 2 ends of the sensor and nothing happens. No numbers, still the same as 1. It's on the ohms setting at the lowest 200.
Answer Hello Tony, The test meter you are using has an issue. When not touching anything it should read OL. This means there is more resistance present that the meter can read. When you touch the leads together, it should read the resistance of the meter leads. This is normally .1 to .3 ohms. The sensor you are testing will not give a proper reading with the test meter you are using since it is not operating properly. Read More...
