Jim, The temperature sensor for the ice room will be located on the auger housing and will need to get part number DA96-00036W to get the sensor. The ice room fan part number will be DA31-00146B. To test the sensor you will go to the main control board on the back of the unit and look for the CN78 Connector. On this connector, you will test from the Orange wire at pin 10 to Pin 7 gray wire. There should be a resistance of approximately 29.3K ohms if the temperature is 0 degrees and at 32 degrees would be 13.2K ohms. For the fan, at the control board, you will test for 7 to 12 VDC on the CN76 Connector from pin 2 Black wire to pin 1 Gray wire.
