Sailor for Model Number SMH9207ST To replace the DE34-00333A membrane switch, must the stainless steel trim be removed from the exterior bottom of the door in all cases? I'm thinking that with all the door's interior trim and whatnot having been removed, the new membrane can be installed on the backer plate or whatever is there, after removing the old one, without removing the exterior trim. Since I've not disassembled the door's interior, I don't have any way to see what's involved.
Answer Sailor, You will need to disassemble the door because the membrane switch will need to be connected to the control board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, March 21, 2018
