Bond for Model Number DV48H7400EW/A2-0000 My house got hit by lightening and my dryer won't work, what could be burned out? Could it be the thermal fuse? Is there a fuse or a breaker in the dryer? Any help would be greatly appreciated......
Answer Bond, The thermal fuse(s) in your dryer are in the heater circuit, and wouldn't cause the dryer to become inoperative. The more likely issue is the voltage surge damaged the main control board DC92-01624C, But first check the power cord and the connections at the terminal block on the back of the dryer, to make sure they didn't get damaged, then check/ repalce the control board, if ll looks good.
