Tim for Model Number samsung dv48j7700ew Our Samsung dryer stopped heating. Everything else seemed to operate normally but would not get warm. I removed the heating element assembly to find that the thermostat had literally caught fire and burnt to a crisp - basically unrecognizable and in pieces. There is some charring on the sheet metal but no serious damage there. Is this a sign of just a faulty thermostat or something more serious to be concerned about? Will be replacing with p/n DC47-00015A. Thanks, Tim
Answer Tim, It sounds like it would just be a faulty thermostat or maybe lint build up that caught fire. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, November 2, 2016
