Sid for Model Number DV331AGW/XAA Hello, My dryer heats up but then goes cold. Exhaust is clear so there is no issue there. No problems with spinning or other normal operation. I tried running the cycle with the door open and I get an initial burst of hot air but then nothing at all. Could it be this part or thermistor or cycling thermostat? Thanks, Sid
Answer Sid, It sounds like there may be an issue with the gas coils on this unit. You will want to test the coils for resistance to make sure that they are good. You can test the coils using a multi-meter. The two prong coil will read 1,000-1,300 ohms, and the three prong coil will read 1,300-1,400 ohms across prongs 1&2, and 500-600 ohms across prongs 1&3. If the coils are bad then you could use the coil kit 279834. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, May 9, 2022
