Kevin When my microwave went out completely and without warning I checked a few of the thermostats until one came up with an open loop. I bought a replacement thermostat (DE47-20034A) to replace it, but this is also coming up OL on the multimeter. Is the part faulty or does this thermostat intentionally have no connection?
Answer Kevin, There is one thermostat for the fan motor that is normally open and closes on a rise in temperature. If unit is dead check the 20 amp fuse on the filter board where the actual plug comes into the microwave. If a fuse has blown then also check the door switches for continuity opening and closing the door should change the reading. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, October 12, 2018
