Mike I for Model Number Samsung ME16H702SES Hello. My mircowave recently went out. No power at all. I took it apart, and tested all the fuse, thermostats, switches, etc. All seem to work as designed. While taking it apart and putting it back together twice, I noticed that the power came back on and then off. I powerd it up with the panels removed, and I found that I could turn it on/off by jiggling a wire to the thermostat labeled KSD-120LC. I pulled the thermostat out, and tested it for continuity, and it seems good. I think my issue is with the wire's female connector. This particular wire has a white cap over the female terminal attachment to the wire. Do you sell that part? What is the white cap for - heat protection? If not for heat or anything, can I just crimp a new female connector and be good to go? Thanks for all of your help!!!
Answer Mike I, the cap is used as an insulator to prevent possible arcing from terminal to terminal. While it is recommended that the main wire harness DE96-00740D is replaced, using a hi-temp insulated terminal is possible. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, May 4, 2020
