Mike for Model Number DV328AGW/XAA-0000 Why does my gas flame turn off after 5 - 10 seconds of operation? I have cleaned out the entire airflow system, replaced the thermistor and checked the flame detector, and high limit fuse on the heating element as well as the fuse on the ventilation duct after the blower. All fuses have continuity at room temperature and the high limit fuse doesn't lose continuity until heated up on griddle for test. I'm not sure what temperature it hit before tripping. When the flame turns on it is blue but 5 - 10 seconds into operation, there's a click and it goes out. It then will come on one or two cycles later then quits until the machine is turned off for a while. It seems like the high limit thermostat but I'm not sure.
Answer Mike, With the flame going out after 5 to 10 seconds and the dryer ducting is clean from the blower wheel to the outside of the home, then the issue would be with the gas coils on the unit. You would want to replace the coils part number 279834. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, September 17, 2014
