Doug for Model Number NE58F9500/AA

Hello, and thank you for taking my question. Our Samsung oven is less than seven years old and has recently developed a problem. The oven will preheat to the requested temperature such as 375°, and then after placing food in the oven, It will drop down to 250°. It will no longer bake a cake or a casserole. I can turn the oven off and then back on and preheat to 375° and it will go up to that temperature according to the separate thermometer. The digital display appears to function properly. my wife is wondering if we just need to replace the oven with a new one.

Answer

Hello Doug, thank you for contacting APP, It is possible that the Bake Element DG47-00020B has failed, or the Main Control DE92-02439G is not sending voltage to the element. This unit will alternate the bake and broil elements to reach preheat temperatures, and seem to be preheating properly, then cut the broil element out and maintain temps via the bake element once preheat has been achieved.
